
















































We’ve spent the last few days meeting & communicating with local tribes from over 300 villages and learning about tribal culture and their way of life deep in Papua tribes from the highlands of Baliem Valley come together to attend the Baliem Festival which takes place every August. Baliem Festival is a way for tribes from different regions to honour their culture and participate in mock battle competitions, pig races, war dances and pig feasts. It is also a way for them to share their way of life with the outside world ๐ ๐
Aside from the festival you can trek to visit the tribes any time of year and we’ll be writing up all the info on how! ๐
