Dani villages are scattered all the way from the hilly terrain and the flat land in the valley. They live from sweet potato planting, pig raising, and sometimes hunting in the forest. Untill nowadays, they still practice their old traditional way of living. Wooden spear, wooden axe, bone knife, bamboo arrow etc are still used daily. Dani man wears only penis gourd, while the woman wears grass skirt.
Sweet potato is planted near by the compound, while the pigs are eaten together with the sweet potato. Sometimes also used as dowry as well as for the sacrifice during a traditional fest.
