DAY 1: WELCOME TO JAYAPURA- DEKAI/YAHUKIMO

Arrive at Sentani airport of Jayapura, meet by tour guide and catching regular flight to Dekai/Yahokimo with schedule ETD 10:00, it will be depended on weather. (Baggage allowed for this flight is 15kg only per passenger, as you can leave your unnecessary baggage in Jayapura with us before leaving. (please note: the flights are delayed very often due bad weather, technical problem, operational of flight).

Make more preparation in Dekai for the next day by charter motorized canoe. Rest of the day you may walk around Dekai villages to explore Dekai small town. Lunch and dinner will be provided by our cook. These flight very often delayed or cancelled due to bad weather. If cancelled you shall be transfer to hotel and overnight stay (baggage allowance for this flight is 15kg per person)

DAY 2: DEKAI – BRAZA RIVER – MABUL/BAYGON

Transfer by Jeep to Lokpon and today travel by motorized canoe through Brazza River for approx. 6-8hours. From Brazza river up to Kolf River on destination to Mabul or baygon. Depends with rivers high condition, sometime the water river down to 1 meter (low tide), the boat have to be slower. Arrive at afternoon or at night. Dinner and overnight in the village of Mabul or upper of Mabul (Baygon)

DAYS 3- 4- 5: KOROWAY ADVENTURE

We will spend these 05days adventure is some of the most pristine lowland rain forest in the world. Along the way we will try and stay with the various tribes those inhabit the region.

Start our adventure by walking through the dense jungle, swampy, and we sometime walking up the single log. Our porter will free their hand to help you in the hard or difficult trail. After 4-6 hours walking, we arrive the first Koroway camp (where some Koroway tribes’ life).

The Koroway tribes live in the jungle only with their family or relatives, as they never stay in one big compound. We can find 3 or 4 Tree houses in one camp only. Caused they are nomad peoples and they never life for such a long time in the one place, they have to move to one and other places to get more food and animals to be hunt. Stay and overnight at tents. While the Canoe with their crews waiting us in this village while we doing adventure till, we return.

DAY 6: JUNGLE – MABUL

Today we will continue tour Trekking to the last Koroway Village, Mabul. We expect walking for 4 – 5 hours and we will be camping or sleep in local house at Mabul Village.

DAY 8: MABUL – DEKAI

After breakfast we will depart by canoe from Mabul to Dekai. This trip we will take us a 7 to 8 hours, depending of the river conditons. Arrive at Dekai and accomodations at local house.

DAY 8: DEKAI – JAYAPURA

Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight by Trigana ETD 11:00 leaving for Jayapura. Upon your arrival at Sentani airport of Jayapura Transfer to The Hotel. Ends!

DAY 9: JAYAPURA-OUT

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Jakarta. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

Payment Terms

A deposit of 20 % of the price, given in the confirmation, is required. The deposit can be made in USD or EUR. The difference to 100% of the price shall be paid 45 days prior to arrival date. If the Customer does not pay the deposit in time, Pt. Sulawesi Adventures Tours & Travel is entitled to terminate the contract without notice or to refuse carrying out the travel services. If any documents are required, the Customer will receive these after the full price is paid.

You can pay by bank transfer. Please note that your bank may apply a bank transfer fee. Please contact your bank for more information concerning the amount of this fee at your charge. During the reservation process, we provide the bank information needed to process your bank transfer, including the IBAN and BIC codes for the receiving bank account.
