Day 1: Arrival in Goroka – Highlands Welcome, Town Tour & Craft Market Visit

• Arrival in Goroka via domestic flight.
• Meet and greet by the Trek 4 Life team and transfer to the hotel.
• Morning to early afternoon Goroka town tour, including: Goroka Main Market, J.K. McCarthy Museum (optional), and local coffee shops/landmarks.
• Afternoon visit to the Goroka Craft Market for souvenirs, bilums, and carvings.
• Time allowed to relax and adjust to the Highlands climate.
• Evening briefing covering the trekking route, safety, altitude awareness, and equipment.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Goroka.

Day 2: Goroka – Dunlop Pass – Kundiawa – Keglsugl (Base Village)

• Depart Goroka by 4WD vehicle toward Kundiawa in Simbu Province.
• Stop at Dunlop Pass, one of the highest road passes in PNG, for mountain views.
• Lunch stop in Kundiawa before driving to Keglsugl village, the gateway to Mt Wilhelm.
• Meet local guides and porters and settle into the village guesthouse.
• Dinner with the local community and overnight stay in Keglsugl.

Day 3: Keglsugl – Pindaunde Lakes (Trekking Day 1)

• Begin the trek through dense moss forest, bamboo groves, and alpine vegetation.
• Gradual altitude gain with regular rest stops.
• Arrival at Pindaunde Lakes campsite (approx. $3,600m$) in the afternoon.
• Set up camp, dinner, and overnight stay under the stars.

Day 4: Mt Wilhelm Summit – Return to Keglsugl

• Guided ascent begins early (1:00 AM – 3:00 AM) to witness sunrise over the Highlands.Reach the summit ($4,509m$) for photos and celebration.+1
• Descend to Pindaunde Lakes for late breakfast or brunch.
• Continue descent to Keglsugl village in the afternoon.
• Dinner and cultural interaction with locals; overnight stay in the village.

Day 5: Keglsugl – Kundiawa – Goroka

• Farewell to local hosts and depart by vehicle back to Goroka via Kundiawa.
• Afternoon at leisure to rest or explore Goroka at your own pace.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Goroka.

Day 6: Goroka – Port Moresby (Departure)

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Transfer to Goroka Airport for the morning flight to Port Moresby.
• End of tour.
