4 days 3 nights trekking in Dani tribe

Brief in information:

Departure: 08:00 a.m or 10: 00 a.m (Approx. 08 hours)

DAY 01:  Arrival in Wamena – Kurima in the same day (L.D).

Arrival in Wamena meet me,  here we arrange for the travel permit known as “Surat Jalan’, buy the return ticket at once and then continue the trip to Sogogmo at 10.oo am or 12.oo  pm. Upon arrival at Sogogmo public taxi terminal, then we start walk to Kurima distrik and registration in two military bases. A short briefing there for trekking. After lunch in in Kurima, walking up to Ugem village. The scenery and local people are welcome you. They are really friendly, smile  and say ” Wah” Wah”  which means (welcome). We are follow trough suspension bridge call “Jembatan Kurima” 2 hours walk up to Ugem village.

Day 02 :  Hitugi – Syokosimo (B.L.D)

After breakfast, you walk down to Ugem villages close to the place you overnight stay. Here you have a chance to meet the big chief, you also allowed to visit the secret hut, but you will never enter in, just stand outside and take a photo out of it. I don’t know why, but it is! You are going to pass  the sweet potatoes gardens, fresh beans, Taroo, carrot plants and many more. We will hike for approximately 3-4 hours through the beautiful countryside and hearth break panoramic. Passing wild forest and scenery is spectacular. Prepared lunch in boxes will be served en-route to the village; then dinner and overnight at in the Sykosimo or known as  “the siep and kosay village”.

DAY 03: Syokosimo village – Wuserem (B.L.D)

After breakfast, you are proceeded to descend the steep hill down to traditional hanging bridge across Mugi River. Today’s walk is a little harder with narrow and slippery paths. But you may also enjoy the nature’s beauty. Trek will be around 4-5 hours. Lunch en route, dinner and overnight in the hut.

DAY 04 : Wuserem- Wamena –(B.L)

After breakfast, walk for about 1 hour walk down to the Mugi river then cross another hanging bridge over Baliem river. Then continue walk to Kurima. Take a rest and have lunch. Then the tour continue walk to public taxi terminal and get the taxi to Wamena.

DAY 05 : Wamena to Jayapura

Aditionally, (We offer tailor made tour for Jayapura region at the same tour package)

Day 6: Departure by plane to Sentani (Jayapura) the capital of Indonesian province Papua. Sightseeing and shopping for souvenirs at the Hamadi market.
Day 7: Departure to Jakarta – participants who have connecting flights leave, the others spend the night in Jakarta or Bali  for another tour or directly to your home country.
